Love the drums, the guitar... not so much; it feels like it's overpowering everything.

    Mouse-Pet responds:

yeah, its not actually mixed yet its just a raw recording that we'll mix soon once we can be bothered.

Dude, you're sorta my hero. I FINALLY found a prog rock tune on NG that's worth listening (apart from Venus which is like ages old now and has gotten a bit boring). This track's got all a prog lover like me could ask for: tension/release moments, Banksesque synth soloing, sudden mood changes and pleasant melodies. The only things that put me off a bit are: the loud hihat and a teeny bit offkey synth sound. Check out my stuff. I also do prog so you might find yourself satisfied ;) .

    AnOrdinaryVision responds:

Thanks! Actually this is a old track we recorded a year ago with not-so-good gear for recording. You should listen to my other track "A Quiet Walk In The Desert", I think we did a better job on that. I'm sure to check out your stuff later.

The enthralling sound of a cursed cartoon! Taking out half a star because some sampled instruments reveal their fakeness.

    piggemz responds:

    tanks stranger,

    and yeh, definitely fake

What sample libraries did you use?

    samulis responds:

    EastWest-QuantumLeap Symphonic Orchestra Gold.

I have a feeling that it needs more instruments.

    Irtorius responds:

Sticking thightly to my 2 square, 1 triangle and 1 noise channels =P

This reminds me of my latest jazzy music stuff i've been doing for a while now. It's all nice but those hip hop drums don't quite fit the blue-notey tone. i would have used an acoustic kit for such a song.

    Stavier responds:

Actually, I used a jazz acoustic kit and I didn't use any hip hop drums at all :P

the track's pretty okay, but the mixing is just terrible.

    masl123 responds:

I now heard it over my headphones, and, its very terrible mixed.

PLEASE, tell me, which VSTs u used here.

    SilentTakedown responds:

I use VSL Special Edition with PLUS and Orchestral Strings I and II.

I really dig the guitar sound. It's very reallistic.

    Trawl responds:

it would be a shame if it wasn't realistic, on account of it being a real guitar!

Love those stock loops you slapped together. :)

    Michael-Flaherty responds:

no stock loops on this one pal
